Individual support is critical to the sustainability and vitality of Global Visionaries. Thousands of individual donors have invested in the Global Visionaries movement since our inception. Each year, new and returning donors help GV participants gain a new perspective of the world by understanding the importance of being an engaged and informed U.S. citizen.

Workplace Giving and Matching

Giving through your workplace is a convenient way to give to GV; many companies will match your contribution, thus maximizing your gift. Your employer's giving program lets you designate a specific dollar amount to be automatically deducted from your paycheck. Or, you can make a one-time contribution. If Global Visionaries is not listed in your company's list of charitable organizations, you can usually write in Global Visionaries (Nonprofit Tax # 71-0872239). Ask your company's human resources department for more information or contact our development staff.

Stock Donations

Stock donations are gifts of appreciated stock that provide you with a tax savings when you make your gift to Global Visionaries. You can avoid a capital gains tax on the appreciated portion of the gift, so many people find that they're able to make a larger gift by using appreciated securities instead of cash.

Please use our Stock Donation Form, which you can submit by mail or fax. This form has Global Visionaries' brokerage information that you will need to complete the transfer. Be sure to notify Global Visionaries' development staff before you transfer stock, so we will be able to credit you for the gift.

Estate Planning

Estate planning and bequests offer ways to leave a legacy of leadership. There are many ways to give from your estate, including naming Global Visionaries as a beneficiary in your will, retirement plan or life insurance. Please contact our development staff for more information on estate planning options.

Trip Sponsorship Opportunities

Available to donors, groups or businesses who contribute $5,000 or more annually, this is a wonderful opportunity for donors to directly experience the impact of their investment on a particular cohort and particular development project. Trip sponsors will be invited to a special post-trip community presentation and receive monthly updates from the field. In-kind Giving

At Global Visionaries we are always in need of supplies and in-kind printing and design services. Please see our Wish List or contact our development staff for a list of current in-kind needs.

Buy GV Coffee

Global Visionaries purchases direct trade, organic coffee directly from Espresso de Esperanza, a youth-run business in Guatemala that roasts and exports the coffee. This is an easy way to support GV while stocking up on java.
