Students learn up to one year's worth of high school Spanish in about two weeks! Each GV participant receives 3 hours of one-on-one language and cultural study for five days. Antigua, Guatemala is home of approximately 50 language schools and is renowned worldwide for its excellent Spanish language schools. Whether you are a beginner or native speaker, your language skills improve quickly. We work with El Centro Linguistico La Union.

However, GV participants learn much more Spanish than the intensive language classes. Beyond Language School, students get approximately an additional 165 hours of language immersion through working on Work Teams side by side Guatemalans, living in a Spanish speaking only home stay, and forming friendships with the Guatemalan GV teen participants over the course of the immersion experience. Therefore, students can get 195 hours of Spanish immersion.
